About us
Elvington Out of School Club was established in 2013 by a group of parents and play-workers in the village of Elvington to meet the demand of local parents for high quality and affordable out of school care. We are a not-for-profit charity run by a group of trustees.
Working with the support of the Childcare Strategy and Business Service of the City of York Council and York CVS and in partnership with Elvington C.E. Primary School and Elvington Under 5’s, the Club was set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Reg No 1152686) in May 2013. The object of the CIO is to advance the education of primary school aged children in Elvington and the surrounding area through the provision of an after school and holiday club at the Lower Derwent Sports and Social Club.
Ofsted inspected the club in May 2014 and rated us 'good'. Their report praised the club staff for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn and play, and highlighted the good behaviour of the children.
